Inspired by his days in Florida where banks of mangroves proliferate, Ian Thornton designed the Mangrove Bronze Floor Lamp. Made of cast aluminum in a bronze finish, he created the base detail in the shape of the plant's roots and gave it a knotty surface like the real plant. To enhance the texture, he chose a grasscloth shade to top the composition. The stems that arch up toward the shade are cleverly balanced with the shape of the base.
